Harness Suite was created from more than three decades of hands-on experience spanning electrical engineering, wire harness manufacturing, enterprise technology, cybersecurity, and global operations.

My career in the wire harness industry began in 1992 as an electrical engineer. I developed testing systems for a major off-road heavy-equipment manufacturer, helping verify the performance and reliability of wire harnesses and electrical components. That experience gave me an early understanding of the precision, quality, and accountability required throughout the manufacturing process.

I soon moved into manufacturing operations, where my responsibilities included capacity planning, production scheduling, cost reduction, process improvement, quality control, cost accounting, and automation. Working directly with both engineering teams and the shop floor allowed me to see how disconnected information, manual processes, and outdated systems created delays, unnecessary costs, and avoidable errors.

As I transitioned into information technology leadership, I began using emerging digital tools to modernize manufacturing. We digitized engineering prints and shop-floor documentation, connected Pro/ENGINEER with ERP systems, and introduced EDI, barcode scanners, and radio-frequency technology to improve inventory control, shipping, invoicing, vendor integration, and cost management. These improvements streamlined operations so significantly that customer service staffing requirements were reduced by approximately 90%.

In 2005, I moved into an executive IT role responsible for the organization's global technology strategy. My work included ERP consolidation, process automation, systems integration, and the standardization of operations across international facilities.

The following year, I assumed leadership of the company's wire harness division. By further automating the quoting, engineering, and shop-floor documentation processes, we reduced work that had previously taken days to complete to just hours.

In 2008, I acquired CompuOne, a highly technical managed-services company with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity. This expanded my perspective beyond manufacturing systems to include the security, reliability, scalability, and resilience required of modern business technology.

Throughout my career, I repeatedly encountered the same industry-wide challenges: fragmented software, manual data entry, disconnected customer and supplier processes, inconsistent documentation, language barriers, and systems that were never designed around the realities of wire harness manufacturing.
